9-14 Year Old Home School Girls
Owosso FALCON Volleyball has a few open spots. We are looking for beginners who are willing to learn the game and/or experienced players who are looking to improve their skills.
Practices start August 7th and go through to the end of October with games on Tuesday and Friday nights, starting the first of September.

Athletes have higher grade point averages, better attendance, and less disciplinary problems during the season.

Head Coach Dawn Howard loves the sport and has coached volleyball for the Owosso Home School Sports FALCONS since 2016. Coach Dawn was the Head Coach for Junior High and Junior Varsity for OHSS during the 2016 season. Coach Dawn played 7 years of volleyball in Jh and High School as well as intermural volleyball in college. Her philosophy is with a goal to teach skills to the girls but also disciplines that they will use the rest of their lives. She will teach them to work together, not giving up and have discipline in what they do. She will continue to work on skills and bring the team as a whole to a higher level.

Assistant Coach Jennifer Keener, who loves playing volleyball and would love to teach and encourage the girls to learn how to improve their skills and learn how to play together, has join the Owosso Home School Sports coaching staff this year. Her coaching goals and objectives are to teach the girls the fundamental skills of volleyball and to use them to play together as a team.

Congratulations to Avery Wilson for his amazing leadership and talent. He has been selected by votes placed by other varsity coaches as one of the 2016-2017 Michigan Home School Sports Association All-State Players. He will be honored with the other players tomorrow at Carson City between the girls varsity and boys varsity games at the state finals (approx 6 PM). PLEASE PLEASE come and support Avery and CHEER your LOUDEST when he goes up!!! It would mean a lot to him and the program!!! Thank you!

Here is the information regarding tomorrow.

Hey there Basketball Players and Parents of the Players and basketball fans, I just want to encourage all of you to go the the State Finals this coming weekend. It would be a great experience for your players to see the best home school players Michigan competing for 1st place and seriously it is A LOT of fun!!!

State Tournaments started with 101 teams at Morey Courts that weekend, now down to just the 16 finalists that will play for a state championship on March 4th.
